World Fairtrade Day, Zaytoun Googs | Children In Crossfire

World Fair Trade Day is an inclusive, worldwide celebration of fair trade as a tool for change, held every year on the second Saturday in May. It is endorsed by the World Fair Trade Association, a global network of organisations representing the Fair Trade supply chain which has over 450 members from 75 countries.

On the 13th May, we invite you to join in with the millions of people recognising the people involved in trade throughout the supply chain of some of our favourite products. We believe that Fair Trade is a powerful way to show solidarity and help create change; it’s a solution to trade injustices and imbalances of power in the supply chain.

On the 13th May, you can register your event here and show your commitment to trade justice. Get some people together, enjoy a cuppa together or host an event using Fairtrade products.

People in the Fair Trade supply chain and the consumers supporting Fair Trade products are Agents for Change. It is our inherent power to make a change. Together, hand in hand, we can work for a fairer world.

Zaytoun, a Palestinian artisan company put Fairtrade at the heart of all the do. Watch their story below. Zaytoun is available to buy online or through the Foyle Food Society, here in Derry.
