3-Day Challenge

(5th – 7th October)

“Where land and sea collide, where untamed beauty abounds, welcome to the unforgettable experience of the Wild Atlantic Way”.  This 3-day cycle captures the magic and extraordinary beauty of the North West of Ireland in all its glory. Cycling the Wild Atlantic Way you will follow the breathtaking Atlantic coast on two wheels on this 3-day challenge.

This is Children in Crossfire’s 7th annual cycle and we are delighted to be working with the O’Hara and Halliday families. The itinerary is:-

Friday 5th October
Leaving Derry cycling to Bridgend, Manorcunningham, Letterkenny, Hilltop, Kilmacrennan, Creeslough, Dunfanaghy.

Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast at the Shandon Hotel & Spa.

Saturday 6th October
Leaving Dunfanaghy cycling to Gortahork, Magheraroarty, Bloody Foreland, Derrybeg, Bunbeg, Gweedore, Lunch stop at Encourt Hotel, Dungloe, Glenveigh National Park, Churchhill, Letterkenny.  Overnight stay Letterkenny at McGettigan’s Hotel (Gallagher’s hotel, main street).

Sunday 7th October
Cycle Letterkenny to Derry.

An exciting and very scenic route covering some the most stunning coastal views of Donegal.

To participate and secure your place £50 deposit is required with a further fundraising of £250.   A JustGiving fundraising page can be set up at www.justgiving.com.
