Position: Development Education (DE) Programme Coordinator

Location: Head Office, Derry/Londonderry (with some flexibility)

Contract: Full time.


Children in Crossfire is an International Development organisation based in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland that works to promote and protect the rights of children who are caught in the crossfire of extreme poverty.

The organisation seeks to appoint a highly experienced individual to the position of Development Education (DE) Programme Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination of our Development Education programme of work across Ireland.


Major Responsibilities

  1. Successful design, implementation and measurement of the existing development education intervention to teachers and Initial Teacher Education (ITE) colleges across Ireland;
  2. To ensure that the Development Education programme of work is successfully planned, administered, and that reporting and database systems are developed and maintained;
  3. Work closely with the wider Children in Crossfire team providing support as required.

This is a role for a highly motivated and dynamic person who is passionate about the work of Children in Crossfire. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ paid work experience in managing programmes with knowledge of development education, international development, the sustainable development goals and global poverty issues.
