Reports to: Head of Finance

Contract: Full time (35 hours per week).

Background

Children in Crossfire is a registered charity in Ireland that facilitates International Development and Global Citizenship Education programme activities.

Our vision is ‘a compassionate world where all children can reach their potential, through education’. We work in partnership with local organisations in Tanzania and Ethiopia to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged young children, with the particular focus on Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Education. By improving childhood care, we are changing lives and empowering young children, their families, and their communities to build a better future.

In Ireland, our Global Citizenship Education programme engages the public in issues of global justice, including by advocating for increased investment in ECD/ECE.

 

Context of the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful applicant will provide a professional initial point of contact for Children in Crossfire and assist with the administrative functions of the Finance Department and carry out general office duties as and when required.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • To effectively manage and implement the administrative function of the Finance Department;

  • To effectively manage all elements of reception;

  •  Carry out General Office Duties.

This role is considered to present a low rating safeguarding risk. The role will be primarily office-based, with little to no contact with children and/or vulnerable adults
