Giving children the chance to choose

We took some time recently and asked them a few questions about who they are, what they do and why did they want to join us at Children in Crossfire.

Tricia Kelly

Tricia – Our new Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager

Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager

Tell us a bit about yourself

Tricia has always worked in the community/voluntary sector – starting off as an Adult Literacy worker about 25 years ago. She has been privileged to work on many projects and services for women and children across our community in that time, and fundraising has always been an important part of her work.

What do you do for Children in Crossfire?

Tricia’s role involves reaching out to private and corporate Trusts and Foundations, to let them know of the wonderful work Children in Crossfire does, so that they have the opportunity to consider supporting our programmes. She also keeps in touch with the Trusts and Foundations who already support Children in Crossfire, to keep them updated on how their generosity is being put to practical use in changing the lives of children and families in Ethiopia and Tanzania, and through our global citizenship programmes here at home.

Why did you want to work for Children in Crossfire?

Tricia sees Children in Crossfire as a great opportunity to use her skills in working with others to tackle poverty and injustice and to promote a more compassionate world.
