What We Do
Children in Crossfire responds to the rights and needs of children and young people caught in the crossfire of global poverty, injustice and inequality.
How We Do It
Children in Crossfire is working to create a compassionate world where every child can reach his or her potential and pursues its vision by using a Two-Pronged Approach;
- ONE -
Working in partnership with organisations in Tanzania & Ethiopia to address the developmental needs of young children whose lives are caught up in the injustice of poverty.
- TWO -
Providing global citizenship education in Ireland & the UK to introduce people to the structural causes of poverty and help them find a role in making the world a better place.

Where We Work
Our Founder & Director
On Thursday 4th May 1972 when a ten-year-old Richard Moore was on his way home from school, his life changed forever.
As he passed an army lookout post, located at the edge of his school’s playground, a British Soldier fired a rubber bullet from ten feet away, blinding him for life. This is where his remarkable story of forgiveness and compassion begins.
