Giving children the chance to choose

What we do

Children in Crossfire believes that it is the biggest injustice of our time that children are trapped in a cycle of poverty in a world of plenty.

Very simply, we want to change the conditions for children caught up in this crossfire of injustice and poverty.  Therefore, it is our Mission to work with others to tackle the injustices of poverty affecting children. We do this by taking a two-pronged approach to our work.

“Massive poverty and obscene inequality are such terrible scourges of our time – times in which the world boasts breath-taking advances in science, technology, industry and wealth accumulation – that they have to rank alongside slavery and apartheid as social evils”. – Nelson Mandela

Two-Pronged Approach And The Theory Of Change | Children In Crossfire

The Theory of Change

Two-Pronged Approach

1.We work in partnership with organisations in Tanzania and Ethiopia to address the developmental needs of young children whose lives are caught up in the injustice of poverty.

2. We see development education as an important part of our work in Ireland and the UK to introduce people to the structural causes of poverty and help them find a role in making the world a better place.

Change is dependent on people, communities, and governments all working together to ensure that the right conditions are in place. In the image above you can see our challenges and how we work towards our Vision.
