Laurensia is a farmer with seven children and one grandchild. She coordinates three Women’s Groups in total. Through her training to become a Volunteer Coordinator, she has substantially increased her knowledge on nutrition, which she uses to advise local mothers with young children.

One of her groups grew to form a business where they prepare and sell nutritious flour made from soy beans, sorghum and millet. Through her work Laurensia has helped improve the nutrition of young children whilst also engaging local women in entrepreneurship where they can increase their own income.
