Children in Crossfire are delighted to have been chosen as the Shipquay Boutique Hotel’s charity partner for 2018. The partnership was formally launched today with the presentation of a cheque for £500 to Children in Crossfire’s Executive Director, Richard Moore.

Johanne Ferguson, the Shipquay Boutique Hotel’s manager, said:

“We are very pleased to make Children in Crossfire our first charity partner. We are admirers of Richard Moore and everything Children in Crossfire does to help children in African countries. Throughout the year ahead we will be supporting them with our own fundraising initiatives. It is a terrific cause and we are really proud to be associated with it.”

Ronan McCay, Head of Fundraising with Children in Crossfire, added:

“It is a positive endorsement of Children in Crossfire’s work that the Shipquay Hotel have chosen us as their first ever charity partner. We look forward to working with them throughout 2018, raising vital funds to support our programmes.

“Our new partnership will help us give some of the most vulnerable children in Tanzania and Ethiopia access to the quality education they deserve in the earliest years of their lives. A decent start in life is crucial, and Children in Crossfire’s Early Childhood Development programme helps many thousands of children to get that.

“We are delighted that the Shipquay Hotel will be working with us to achieve that goal, and greatly excited for the year ahead.”
